Used wpDiscuz plugin to enable comments in your WordPress page/post

It’s very important to have comments in WordPress, audiences can make a comment to author to ask some help or give some feedback.

I always think I have comments in my blog, someday I found I didn’t have comments in my website. Thus I plan to add comments in my WordPress blog.

After investigating, I found the best comments plugin in WordPress could be installed to help us enable comments function.

It is wpDiscuz.

Install wpDiscuz plugin

Step 1: Go to Dashboard->Plugins->Add New. Enter wpDiscuz in search box.

Step 2: You will get the result like the following picture. Install and Activate.

Setting

Step 1: Go to Dashboard->wpDiscuz->setting(refer to the following screenshot). You can customize your comments according to your own ideas. I have modified some following settings.

In User Authorization and Profile Data, You can enable or disable Display logged-in user name and logout link on comment form, Show “Login” link on comment form and so on.

In Comment Content and Media, you can set Max Uploaded Size, Comment Text Length, File Attachment Settings and so on.

In Article and Comment Rating, You can enable or disable to Display Ratings.

Setting Avatar

Step 1: Install WP User Avatar plugin.

Step 2: Set your own avatar

Go to Dashboard->Users->Your profile. Upload the image you want to use in Avatar setting.

Step 3: Set default avatar for your audiences

Go to Dashboard->Setting->Discussion. Upload a image to be default avatar.

Now, you will have a powerful comment component. Your audience can make a comment for you.

Troubleshooting

Q1: I got “Blocked as suspected bot” error when I tried to make a comment by using wpDiscuz plugin.

A1: Deactivate MOJO Marketplace can fix this error.
